What is the best way to contact my Tax or Accounting Team?

Soraban! The Anomaly Team is trained to respond to your inquiries as soon as possible, and no later than 48 hours. Every team member that needs visibility to your account has it.

Our world can be complex so at times we may respond that we need additional time to research the answer to ensure we put you in the best position possible!

      Why not email?
We made the decision to transition from email communication to Soraban in 2021, and the results have been tremendous for our team and members of our community.  An email-based workflow can be inefficient and does not allow for team visibility by default. Our current communication system in Soraban solves these problems and ensures that no message or request slips through the cracks.

Urgent! I need a copy of my taxes. Where do I find them?

Any tax returns that our team files for you will be stored in the Soraban Tax Documents section, organized by year.  If you have more than one entity or have both business and personal taxes, be sure you are viewing the correct entity in the upper left corner of your dashboard! Business documents will be uploaded under the respective entity separate from your personal entity.

How do I pay my taxes due? What about my refund?

Normal Balance Due Our Team will provide guidance upon filing, but below are your options:
      • Elect to have our Team initiate an ACH withdrawal (EFW) from your account by the IRS/States when we efile your tax returns (we must have bank information prior to efiling)
      • Mail a Check (some taxing agencies may require EFW or online payment)
      • Pay Online via the taxing agency's website (some taxing agencies will require an account be set up to make payments)

I received a letter from the IRS. I have no clue what is means, but should I be concerned?

Don't be concerned but do not ignore it!  Most IRS letters are informational or simply asking for more information.

We have a complete guide on the most common letters!

When in doubt, upload the notice to your team via Soraban and we will advise on the next steps.

Where do I find my Accounting Dashboard (if applicable)?

For Concierge Accounting clients with a custom Dashboard, you can find a button linking you directly to your Accounting Dashboard in the right margin of your Soraban home page.

I read about a tax strategy online. Should I be taking advantage of this? Who should I tell?

We love when our clients are interested in tax strategies!  Often times, what gets spread on social media and online is not the whole story.  We've all seen the "start an LLC and buy a Mercedes" gimmicks on social media. Unfortunately, that's not how it works!

However, if you hear about something that we have not previously mentioned, please check out Anomaly's Knowledge Base of tax strategies.  If you do not see what you are looking for, drop us a line in Soraban and we can let you know what we think!
