School Dress Code

Students are expected to wear clothing in a neat, clean, and well fitting manner while on school property and/or in attendance at school sponsored activities. The school does not prohibit hairstyles historically associated with race, ethnicity, or hair texture, including, but not limited to, protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists. Students who disrupt the educational process or compromise standards of health and safety must modify their appearance. Students are to use discretion in their dress and are not permitted to wear apparel that causes a substantial disruption in the school environment.

• Student dress (including accessories) may not advertise, promote, or picture alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, violent behavior, or other inappropriate images.
• Student dress (including accessories) may not display lewd, vulgar, obscene, or offensive language or symbols, including gang symbols.
• Hats, coats, bandannas, sweat bands, and sun glasses may not be worn in the building during the school day.
• Hair styles, dress, and accessories that pose a safety hazard are not permitted in the shop, laboratories, or during physical education.
• Clothing with revealing holes, rips, tears, and clothing that is otherwise poorly fitting, showing excessive skin and/or undergarments may not be worn at school.
• The length of shorts or skirts must be appropriate for the school environment.
• Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.
• If there is any doubt about dress and appearance, the building principal will make the final decision.
• Student whose dress causes a substantial disruption of the orderly process of school functions or endangers the health or safety of the student, other students, staff or others may be subject discipline.

Código de Vestimenta

Se espera que los alumnos lleven la ropa de forma ordenada, limpia y bien adaptada mientras estén en las instalaciones de la escuela y/o asistan a las actividades patrocinadas por ésta. Los alumnos deben usar la discreción en su vestimenta y no se les permite usar prendas que causen una interrupción sustancial en el ambiente escolar.

• a vestimenta de los alumnos (incluidos los accesorios) no puede anunciar, promocionar o representar bebidas alcohólicas, drogas ilegales, parafernalia de drogas, comportamiento violento u otras imágenes inapropiadas.
• La vestimenta de los alumnos (incluidos los accesorios) no puede mostrar lenguaje o símbolos lascivos, vulgares, obscenos u ofensivos, incluidos los símbolos de las pandillas.
• Los sombreros, los abrigos, los pañuelos, las bandas de sudor y las gafas de sol no pueden llevarse en el edificio durante la jornada escolar.
• Los peinados, la vestimenta y los accesorios que supongan un peligro para la seguridad no están permitidos en el taller, los laboratorios o durante la educación física.
• La ropa con agujeros reveladores, rasgaduras, desgarros, y la ropa que sea de otro modo mal ajustada, que muestre excesivamente la piel y/o la ropa interior no puede usarse en la escuela.
• El largo de los pantalones cortos o de las faldas debe ser apropiado para el entorno escolar.
• Se debe llevar un calzado adecuado en todo momento.
• Si hay alguna duda sobre la vestimenta y la apariencia, el director del plantel tomará la decisión final.
• Los alumnos cuya vestimenta provoque una alteración sustancial del proceso ordenado de las funciones escolares o ponga en peligro la salud o la seguridad del alumno, de otros alumnos, del personal o de otras personas podrán ser objeto de medidas disciplinarias.
