CS | How To Create a User Account in ShipStation



    What you will need to create a User Account in ShipStation:
    • Full Name
    • Email Address
    • Company (LOB) to add the user to the correct ShipStation account

      Login to the ShipStation Account requesting a User

      Navigate to Settings - User Management

      Are there User Account Spot Available?

      Confirm that there are available user accounts that are available with the subscription.

      ShipStation accounts should have TEN (10) user accounts TOTAL that can be used to create users.
      • NOTE: One (1) of those accounts is designated as a ShipCalm user account, leaving Nine (9) user accounts for customers or other users

      Deactivate a User Account

      If ALL TEN (10) user accounts are being used, ask the customer which of the user accounts can be deactivated in order to add the new user account as requested.

      Once a user account has been deactivated you can continue to add the new user account.

      Create a Tech Ticket to request the TEN User Accounts

      If there are no available user account spots left AND there are not already TEN (10) user accounts added, then the account subscription needs to be updated to include the TEN (10) total user accounts.

      The Tech team will reach out to confirm when the TEN (10) user account spots have been added and the request can be completed to add the user account.

      Select '+ Add a User Account'

      On the User Management tab, Select the BLUE box that states '+ Add a User Account'

      Enter in Account Information

      What you will need to create a User Account in ShipStation:
      • Full Name
      • Email Address
      • Company (LOB) to add the user to the correct ShipStation account

      Use the above information to fill in the New User details:
      1. Username = User Email
      2. Full Name = User Full Name
      3. Email = User Email

      Select Specific Permissions

      Check the following boxes under the Permissions Tab:
      • Configuration
      • Customer Management
      • Inventory Management
      • Order Management
      • Product Management
      • Purchasing
      • Reporting
      • Shipping

      Save the User Account

      After setting the permissions, the user account record can be SAVED

      Update Customer

      Update the customer and let them know that they should be receiving an email to finish setting up their ShipStation user account by creating their personal password.
