Rockbot Music Service
CHOP Barbershops use Rockbot to provide a curated experience for our shop team and our clients. The Rockbot music service offers 16 million songs from a varied list of music genres. CHOP provides a music schedule for each shop with approved playlists that represent the CHOP brand.
Team members and clients can make use of an additional Rockbot feature called, Rockbot request. Team members and clients use a mobile app to request songs from our approved playlists to hear in the shop. Additionally, CHOP barbershops provide a tablet for clients to access Rockbot request while in the shop.

- a hardware streaming device called the "media player," which is preferred, or tablet, iPhone, or computer.
- a Fosi amplifier
- Slim profile, passive wall mounted speakers
- generic speaker wire
- android tablet for Rockbot request
Playlist Mangement
All shops subscribe to a central brand schedule of playlists that include a variety of music genres, set for appropriate times during the work day, and controlled by an explicit lyrics filter. CHOP corporate management routinely reviews the request log for any shops with the Rockbot request feature and approves any requests that meet the explicit lyrics filter, are aligned with the CHOP brand, and are at high energy rating.Manager Responsibilities
Below are the list of expectations for managers regarding the Rockbot music service:- Ensure that the music service must be playing during business hours
- Ensure the volume is high enough to be heard throughout the shop, but not so loud as to prevent conversation between stylist and client, or between clients.
- Using common sense judgement, If for any reason an inappropriate song passes through the explicit lyrics filter, thumbs down the song, skip the song, and report the song to CHOP corporate management to be banned.
- Ensure the Rockbot Request tablet is open and available to customers
- Ensure that the staff understand how music supports the CHOP brand, are aware of how to use the Rockbot Manager and Rockbot Request apps, and do not abuse the Rockbot music service.
