How To Handle a Team Member's Worker's Compensation Claim

Find your worker's compensation insurance provider's claims phone number and call your agency.
- If you use worker's compensation through a Gusto provider do the following:
- On the left hand side, click "Taxes & Compliance"
- Click "Stay Compliant"
- Click "View Details" next to Workers' Compensation
  - There you will find "How to File a Claim" with the phone number and all the policy information

Get a claim number from your insurance company.
- Answer all questions asked to the best of your ability
- You will be given a claim number to be given to the employee

Give claim number to the injured employee and they can go to any walk-in clinic to be seen.

It is always good aftercare to check on the injured employee within reasonable amounts of time.
