How to Drain the Shop Air Compressor

    Turn off or unplug the compressor

    Place a cup or small bucket underneath the hose at the bottom of the air compressor




  3. 3

    Twist lever open and drain until empty

  4. 4

    Close valve, dump water, and turn air compressor on




  5. 5

    Continue Maintenance

    Draining the air compressor should be done at least once a month. If you are a very busy shop or find “water” spraying from your hoses, increase to bi-weekly.
