1Teaching ExperienceHR department designates the experience level of new teachers during the onboarding/hiring process.

2Tiered Building Caseloads (Summer)The curriculum director, who serves as the mentor supervisor, develop initial tiered building caseloads using the onboarding data from HR. Caseloads will include only 1st/2nd year teachers and will follow limits contained within the contract.

3Coaching Caseloads (July/August)Director of Curriculum determines whether any caseload sharing by other instructional coaches is needed and notify coaches/building.

4Collaboration Guidance (August)Building principal and instructional coach review the caseload & communicate any concerns to the Director of Curriculum as described in collaboration guidance.

5Mentee Feedback (Aug-May)The mentee may express concerns about the mentoring partnership at any time throughout the year to administration. It is recommended that the mentee first contact the building principal if there is a concern about the meeting frequency or continuing to work with the assigned mentor. The principal will collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to determine alternative pairing or frequency if needed. This ability is documented/described in the About D100 Mentoring doc shared with mentees each fall.

6Caseload Review (Jan/Feb)Building principal and instructional coach review the caseload after nontenured evals and consult with the Director of Curriculum of any needed adjustments.

7Tier Chart Updating (May)Building principal and instructional coach update the Caseload Tier Chart to reflect removal of non-renewed teachers who will not participate a 2nd year. List any anticipated new hire position titles within the tier chart as a place marker. Submit the updated tier chart to the Director of Curriculum.

8Instructional Coach Caseloads (May)Based on updated tier charts HR and director of curriculum discuss any anticipated need for sharing of caseloads between building instructional coaches or alternative coaches/ individuals for providing mentoring support as/if appropriate.
