      Principal Contact

      The principal is contacted by a student exchange coordinating program and determines if the placement for the student is possible.
      If not possible, deny request.
      If possible, move to the next step.

      Medical Records Verification

      In response to a request, the principal shares the cover letter and to explain minimum health records requirements, possibility of change in the fall - responsibility of the host family, request for insurance information, and request for translation of all materials into English), the minimum immunization requirements, and the Certificate of Child Health Examination form.

      Medical Records Review

      Once medical records are received, they are forwarded to the school nurse.
      The school nurse reviews the records and notifies the principal that either (1) the student is approved or (2) what deficiencies the student has that need to be addressed before approval is granted.

      Principal Approves Request

      Host Family is Directed to Complete Registration

      Family is informed by the school principal or designee that they need to register.
      If the students family speaks a language other than English in their home, the student will need to complete a language screening as soon as they are able to upon arrival in the school district.

      Schedule Built for Student

      School counselor reviews educational plan request and builds a schedule for the student.
