Recommendation for Position Posting/Hiring

    This is a process of recommendation for posting a position that is needed as an additional FTE (Full Time Employee) once school year has started August-May and/or district-level budget is set.

      Additional Staff Is Recommended...

      Building Principal explains the rationale for recommending additional staff to program director level first:
      • Program Specific
        • Director of Special Education
        • Director of Bilingual Education
      OR
      • Operational/Learning Environments 
        • Asst. Superintendent of HR and appropriate level superintendent
          • Asst. Superintendent of Elementary Ed, or
          • Asst Superintendent of Secondary Ed

      Budgeting for Recommendation of Staff

      The program specific director will bring the recommendation to the Asst. Superintendent of HR and will review the budget allocation for a proposed additional staff hire. 

      The Asst. Superintendent of HR will review the recommendation and bring it to CFO for FTE (full time equivalent) allocation, benefits, and status of position after the current school year. 

      The CFO will discuss the rationale of the position and determine if it is within budget allocations to create an additional FTE.

      Final Recommendation of Staff Allocation

      If approved or not approved by the Asst. Superintendent of HR and CFO, building principal will notified of the additional staff allocation. 

      If approved, the CFO will assign an account number to the position for the building principal to add on the posting of the position. 
      The building principal will be instructed to create posting to send to HR Executive Administrative Assistant and Human Resources Clerk. (see hiring SOP of staff)
      Any staff postings are sent to the following HR Department Personnel:
      If not approved, building principal can revisit the need for allocation for the next school year's staffing which occurs in February.
