1Step 1Once Initial Decision Maker sends the decision to parties, parties get 10 school business days to make a written request to the Title IX Coordinator to appeal the matter.

2Step 2An appeal may be based on:
- Procedural defect affecting the outcome;
- New evidence that could reasonably affect the outcome but not available at the time of the determination;
- Conflict of interest/bias of the Coordinator, Investigator, or the Initial Decision Maker affecting the outcome.

3Step 3Written appeal is filed

4Step 4Once a written appeal is filed, the Title IX Coordinator must notify the other party (and should send a copy of the appeal)

5Step 5Parties get 5 school business days to submit a written statement in support of, or challenging, the appeal

6Step 6Title IX Coordinator forwards all investigatory materials, decisions and appeal records to the Appellate Decision Maker

7Step 7Appellate Decision Maker has 30 school business days to affirm, reverse or amend the written decision of the dismissal-with explanatory rationale
