Retirement Pipleine Eval Opt Out SOP

Teachers in the last three years of the retirement pipeline may opt out of participating in the evaluation cycle. According to Illinois School Code, any full-time certified staff member who is not evaluated during his/her evaluation cycle is given the summative evaluation rating of Proficient. Any teacher who is on a Professional Development Plan or Remediation Plan and is also in the last three years of the retirement pipeline shall be exempt from opting out of the evaluation cycle. 2Retiree Information/ListHR notifies each building principal with the list of current retirees.
(Spring/Trimster 3) -
3Staff CommunicationHR/QAD email staff a reminder about the eval-opt out process that exists during the last 3 years of their services within District 100 (if in good standing).
(Trimester 3) -
4Staff DeterminationStaff in the retirement pipeline complete this desginated form and return it to their principal (before the end of the school year).
Principal then is notified of the staff member's desire to participate or not participate in their final evaluation process.
Principal emails/mails letter to the HR department/QAD. -
5DocumentationHR Dept/QAD place the signed letter in the staff member's personnel file.
HR clerical deativates the staff member in Frontline for the upcoming school year. -
