      CO Submits Final Draft (Aug.)

      By the end of the fall administration retreat, the Superintendent shares the draft district scorecard with principals and cabinet members.

      Each strategy a lead submits a draft scorecard to the goal lead and each goal lead submits a draft scorecard to the superintendent and/or designee; schedule a meeting for review.  Scorecard should be designed using this guidance resource and scorecard expectations.

      Finalized School Scorecard (Aug./Sept.)

      Principals & SIP Teams draft their school year scorecard using this guidance resource and scorecard expectations

      Present Draft Scorecard (Aug. TI)

      Building level admin present update of outcomes from previous year’s scorecard; share draft of current year scorecard and receive input
    4. 4

      Submit Final Scorecard (Sept.)

      Principal submits final proposed draft of scorecard to the superintendent and/or designee; schedule a meeting for review


      Scorecard should be designed to meet expectations.

      Board Presentation (Oct.)

      Presentation of scorecards for approval by the school board and updates to the school board as per board policy 6.15

      School Scorecard Update/Review (Oct)

      Principals and SIP Teams use the most current information to update their scorecard's

      • Reflection & Ratings

      Superintendent or designee reviews the updated scorecard with the principal.

      All steps are to be completed by the end of October.

      District Level Stocktakes (montly)

      District departments cycle through stocktakes following this schedule  using this stocktake guidance resource.

      Committee & Board Presentation (Monthly Nov - May)

      Provide update of key steps to the school board and its committees, following this weekly cycle, per board policy 6.15

      School Scorecard Update/Review (Jan)

      Principals and SIP Teams use the most current information to update their scorecard's

      • Reflection & Ratings

      *Updates are to be completed by the end of January

      Superintendent or designee reviews the updated scorecard with the principal as part of the summative conference.

      Superintendent or designee reviews the updated scorecard with the principal.

      *Updates are to be completed by the end of May; review will take place as part of the end of year retreat.

      Revise and Update Scorecards (June-Aug.)

      • Reflect on current year scorecard and strategic plan progress

        • Which goals were met, in progress, or undone?

        • Which of your measures provided you valuable and timely feedback, which were unreliable, untimely, or for some reason, unusable.

        • Considering the district’s strategic plan, for which goals was there:

          • Progress made and the goal is met

          • Progress made, but the goal is not yet met

          • Progress was attempted, results are neutral or negative

          • No attempt was made

        • For goals met, what system(s) will you put in place to monitor maintenance of performance?

        • For goals unmet, assess your strategies 

          • Which strategies are leading to growth and should be continued, what alterations could be made to lead to greater growth; 

          • Which strategies are not yielding results and should be altered or eliminated

      • Develop draft of scorecard for the coming school  year aligned to expectations

      Presentation of EOY progress on scorecards and strategic plan and priorities for the new school year to the school board as per board policy 6.15
