      Club Interest

      Students or staff  identify a club interest and complete a club interest form and submit to the building principal or designee.


      NOTE: School groups, regardless of if they are school sponsored, do have access to use of school facilities per Board policy 8:20 go.boarddocs.com/il/district100/Board.nsf/goto... and 7:330 go.boarddocs.com/il/district100/Board.nsf/goto...

      Activity Account

      • If a student club has designated on the club interest form the intent to raise/use funds (if it is school-sponsored or not), an activity account must be created prior to any fundraising activity or funds being collected by the membership.  
      • Activity accounts must be approved by the Board; the principal or designee should notify the superintendent or designee of the need to bring the account before the Business Services Committee to have an account created before funds are raised or used by the club by completing and submitting this form to the CFO.

      Board Approval to make a club District-sponsored

      • A District-sponsored club must be Board approved per Board policy 6:190 - go.boarddocs.com/il/district100/Board.nsf/goto....
      • Requests to have a club sponsored by the school district should be made to the school principal.  If it meets the requirements of the school principal; the principal must notify the superintendent or designee in time for the club to be presented for approval at the September School Board meeting.

      Stipend Determination

      • If the Board approves the club as as school-sponsored activity, the school’s stipend committee and principal will determine if a stipend will be offered to the club sponsor.  
      • If the club sponsor is in the retirement pipeline, the sponsor will not receive any increase in paid stipend from the prior year. 
      • The stipend will be included in the fall personnel reports in October for board approval.
