Employee Childcare Fee Discount
Purpose
The Akidamy is pleased to offer discounted childcare fees for the children of current employees attending any of the Akidamy Early Learning Schools.Eligibility
Employees of The Akidamy may be eligible for a childcare fee discount if they meet the following criteria:
- The employee has been employed by The Akidamy for at least 12 months (with the exception of the School Director)
- The employee is in good standing order with The Akidamy and has no performance issues
Scope
This policy applies to all permanent Akidamy employees (full-time and part-time). It does not apply to any casual employees.Discount Offered
The following fee discount applies:Employees with CCS eligibility - All permanent employees who are eligible for CCS will receive a 50% discount on their gap fees.
Employees without CCS eligibility - The table below outlines the % discount offered to permanent employees not eligible for CCS.

Criteria
- The parent/guardian of the attending child must be employed on a permanent part-time or full-time basis with The Akidamy.
- The employee must sign up for Direct Debit processing of their fees on our enrolment/booking platform.
- Accounts must be paid 2 weeks in advance as per the fees and charges policy applicable to all other families attending the School.
- All increases in School fees will also be applicable to employees utilising this fee discount policy.
How it works
- Account balances are required to be up to date and paid in full.
- Failure to maintain up-to-date fees will result in cancellation of the discount followed by suspension of bookings until the account is brought into line with the policy.
- Discounts will only be effective once approved by the CFO.
During Maternity Leave and other periods of unpaid leave
- During Maternity Leave, the fee discount will be maintained at the current discount for a maximum period of 12 months. Maternity Leave is only recognised if:
- the employee intends on returning to the business no later than 12 months after the start of their Maternity Leave, and/or
- does not have paid employment elsewhere during their absence, and/or
- does not study outside the childcare industry during their absence.
- During unpaid leave periods other than Maternity Leave the Fee Discount will require prior approval from the CEO/CFO.
On termination of employment
Once the parent or guardian provides notice of termination or is provided with notice of termination by The Akidamy, the Childcare Fee Discount will be cancelled from the date the employment ends. Should the ex-employee’s children remain in care with The Akidamy, the fees on their account will revert to normal fees i.e. no discount will apply.Employees are responsible for providing notice of the end of enrolment in accordance with The Akidamy policies.
On termination of care
If the employee ends care for their child/children, this agreement will cease from the end of care date.Disclaimer
The Founders/School Director of the Akidamy reserves the right to alter or withdraw the Employee Childcare Fee Discount policy at their discretion at any time.
