The main entrance to the Atrium should have all pushed snow placed to the east in front of the Fireside windows. This snow should be pushed beyond the edge of the concrete to keep a clear path for wheel chair access coming straight up the ramp and into the atrium from the side of the porch. Placing it to the west can allow the wind to blow it back. The south atrium should be cleared to the area By the bench. This is a good area for sunshine to form black ice.
’Handicap ramps should be kept clean at all times. All piles of snow should be far enough away from door access areas and access ramps to prevent the black ice from being near the traffic lanes. Concentrate snow pile on the west end of the trench drain for the south side of the Atrium. Keep access to the Sanctuary west basement stairway.
Truck plowing should begin from the street and push the snow into the storage areas. -
