Why aren't my videos playing in my Sign Feed Preview?

Proclaim Digital Signage is designed around use in a web browser, and is fully supported in all major browsers such as Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

These browsers are constantly being updated, though, and to make sure we keep things stable from week to week Proclaim uses it's own local web browser based on the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF). That's what Proclaim is using to show your sign feed in Preview mode.

While this method improves stability from week to week, one limitation is that Proclaim is unable to play the video format we use for Digital Signage videos due to licensing constraints.

      Play Your Videos

To view your sign feed with videos, click View in Browser beneath the sign preview. This will launch your sign feed in computer's default browser.

      Additional Troubleshooting

Instead of a motion, you may see a still frame of your uploaded video. That's because there is often a delay from the completed upload of a video and when the video is in the right format to show up in your sign feed. The amount of time this takes can vary per video, and larger files can take quite awhile to process and stream to your web browser.

If you see a still image, or don't see your video. Check back on it in a little bit to see if it is playing, or refresh the web page.

You can also contact support if it's been more than an hour and you don't see the video in your sign feed.
