Link Android Phone to Chrome Cast on TV: Mirroring and Casting
This explains how to link an android mobile phone to Chrome Cast to mirror phone display to TV.

1Ensure both phone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
Make sure that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network before proceeding with the linking process.
We use CHPC Staff for Great Hall Wi-Fi Network. -
2Select the proper input on the TVPress the input button on the TV remote (upper left hand corner) and select the ChromeCast Input button.

3Select Mirroring or Casting ContentTo mirror please select step 4.
To cast please select step 8. -
4Mirroring: Open the Google Home app on your phone
Search for and launch the Google Home app on your Android phone. This app is a default installation on your phone.

5Select your Chromecast device
In the Google Home app, select the Chromecast device you want to link with your Android phone.
It will show Local Devices such as Great Hall (Basement TV), Room 201/202 etc. Select the appropriate location.

6Select 'Link'
Once the code has been entered, select 'Link' to link your Android phone to your Chromecast device.

7Start Mirroring
Once the linking process is complete, select Cast my screen on your phone.
Your Phone will confirm that you want to mirror your screen.
Your phone will show on the TV and you can select apps to play on the TV through the connected Chromecast device. -
8Casting contentAndroid allows you to "cast" or share certain content.

9Follow Steps 1 and 2 above

10Select Chromecast DeviceSelecte the device that you want to cast.

11Start CastingPress on the cast icon and your content should appear on the tv screen.
