16.03 Military Leave

    CHPC recognizes its obligations under the federal Uniformed Services Employment and Re‐Employment Rights Act ("USERRA") and any state veteran's re‐employment right laws. The details of its military leave policy will be administered in compliance with those applicable state and federal laws. These employees may use accrued vacation leave but are not required to do so. At the conclusion of the leave, employees generally have the right to return to the same position held prior to the leave or to positions with equivalent seniority, pay and benefits. CHPC will pay the difference between military pay and regular wages/salary for up to one month or as deemed appropriate by the Senior Pastor. Employees are requested to notify their supervisors as soon as they are aware of the military obligation.
