16.01 Leaves of Absence

    Full-time and Regular Part-Time employees who have completed at least 90 days of continuous service may submit a written request for a leave of absence, without pay, for any length of time up to a maximum of 12 weeks. Written requests must state the reason for the leave, as well as beginning and ending dates and be submitted to SST with approval of the immediate supervisor.
     
    Requests for leaves will be granted at the sole discretion of CHPC based on the facts and circumstances surrounding each individual request. Employees who return to work at the end of a leave will normally be returned to their former job classification if an opening exists or, if there is no such opening, they will be considered for a comparable position if one is available.
