Approximately 6 Deacons Shepherd the Ministry Partners that serve during Sunday morning services, as well as some special services (funerals, weddings special celebrations, holidays, etc.) The Deacon primary focus on the SMST is to lead, shepherd, mentor the Ministry Partners and assure the service moves along smoothly. The main goal of the SMST is to allow the congregation to focus on worshipping the Lord without distraction. Recruiting and scheduling Ministry Partners is a key responsibility. There is currently no staff shepherd for this team, however the usher captain of every Sunday is encouraged to communicate directly with either Drew Smith, or other Pastor prior to every Sunday morning in order to ensure as seamless a service as possible.
