Using Adobe Acrobat PDF software
Adobe Acrobat is not the only software that allows lawyers to manipulate PDFs, but it’s widely used and very powerful. So, if you’re not going to use it, you should have a good reason. Price is a good reason, and if you want to save money, then use Kofax PDF software, which costs about 1/3 of what Acrobat costs.
Acrobat may seem expensive, but most of the helpful plug-ins for lawyers, such as specialized exhibit stickers, work only with Acrobat (usually only with the Windows version). So, if you are NOT going to use Acrobat, ensure you understand exactly what options you’re giving up.
