Building Science Institute, Ltd. Co. Policy 05 Secondary Interests
All verification personnel, including analysts, must be independent of the activity being analyzed and verified for conformance, and must in all cases act in a manner that is free from bias or conflict of interest.
All quality assessment personnel must be independent of the activity being assessed for conformance, and must in all cases act in a manner that is free from bias or conflict of interest. For internal quality assessments, Quality Assessment Designees must be independent from the operating managers of the verification function being assessed.
All verification personnel, including analysts, must maintain objectivity throughout the verification process to ensure the verification findings and conclusions are based on the verification evidence.
All quality assessment personnel must maintain objectivity throughout the quality assessment process to ensure the assessment findings and conclusions are based on the objective assessment evidence.
