The DBD is a role that focuses on two key aspects of business growth, first a safety net for client retention. The DBD oversees client satisfaction surveys and manages large portfolio clients or strategic accounts. The second area of focus is new business development. The DBD directly oversees Business Developers whose only function is to cultivate and identify new business opportunities. The DBD also supports the business units of each assigned Director of Operations (DOO) by working closely with Account Executives. The DBD aids Account Executives with outside sales activity, ensuring that they are working as efficiently as possible and making the best use of company assets including our proprietary CRM software. The DBD attends and supports the weekly sales meetings of each business unit in his division. The DBD is an ally to the DOO, not a foe.
As a Director the DBD is a steward of ECF Culture remembering that every deal sold by the company impacts our front-line workforce. Therefore negotiating fair and equitable contracts is paramount in preserving our culture and the protections offered to our front-line. This fact means that the DBD helps to balance sales goals with compassion for others, and by doing so contributes to a sustainable business platform.
These roles directly report to the DBD: Inside Sales Coordinator; and these indirectly report to the DBD: Account ExecutivesWhile performing duties, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; may read and interpret data, information, and documents; observe and respond to people and situations; learn and apply new information or skills; work under deadlines; and interact with others encountered in the course of work. Proficiency in English is required, and the ability to speak fluent Spanish is highly beneficial.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Long working hours are required for an emergency, urgent response, or winter weather storm management operations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to shops and facilities that have moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel throughout the market served by the Allentown Service Center. Regular travel will be required to various company-owned facilities, client offices, and events for training, sales, and networking initiatives.

The employee is required to have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets our underwriting standards.
