How to Set Up the Fujitsu ScanSnap Scanner

This is how you set your Fujitsu ScanSnap up (initially) to handle your scan jobs. I use mine to scan to Evernote and Acrobat, so those are two different "profiles" as I demonstrate in this short video. Once you get your scanner set up for whatever kinds of common scanning jobs you'll be doing you won't likely ever go into the settings again.
  1. 1

    Set Application for Each "Profile"

You can have multiple profiles for different kind of scanning jobs. For example, you can scan to different applications (e.g. Evernote, Acrobat, Dropbox), and have different settings for each application.
This example is how to set up a profile to scan to Adobe Acrobat.
  2. 2

    Set "Save" options

If you want to change the file-naming format click on "File Name Format..." as shown in the screenshot above, and then you'll see these options to choose from.
  3. 3

Set Scanning Options: quality, color, rotation etc.

  4. 4

Set "File" option: format, OCR etc.

  5. 5

Set "Paper" option: size, auto detection etc.

  6. 6

    Set "Compression" option

Don't change the default, which is shown below.
