    Interview Process

    References can be checked before or after the interview process.  

    This will support your interview committee in their decision making process.

    Frontline/Applicant Tracking System

    Electronic references can be accessed in Frontline/applitrack when reviewing a candidate's application.

    Phone References

    After your team has reviewed digital references be sure to call references (2-3) to gain additional information regarding the candidate.

    • MUST HAVE! Get a reference check from candidate's former supervisor and/or evaluator if they have any prior teaching and/or work related experiences.
    • If there is no supervisor and/or evaluator listed as a reference, this could be a red flag.

    Also, review the interview question in the application to ensure that the candidate has given you permission to contact their most recent employer.  If not, you can talk to them to gain permission to get the information/feedback (from that individual) to move forward with the interview process.
